"Repair–Reconstruction Enterprise Koehne" AD (RVP KOEHNE) is founded on 21.03.1903 as technical service and workshop to the Sofia Railway factory.
     On 01.01.1954 this service is separated by the Railway factory, as railway repair-reconstruction section directly subordinated to Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ). The section specialises in performing of construction and repair works of tunnels, bridges, locomotive turntables, carriage weighbridges, drain systems, security installations, general inspection of steel bridges etc.
     In 1957 the section is transformed in Sofia Repair-reconstruction enterprise with main production activity: performing of repairs of railways, railway tunnels, railway bridges and other railway constructions in the country.
     In 1963 the enterprise started laying continuously track and from 1979 performs contact welding of the rails with mobile rail-welding machine PRSM-3.
     With the development of the equipment basis for performing of repairs and routine maintenance of the railway, the enterprise specialised in maintenance and repair of the specialised self-propelled railway repair machines produced by the companies Plasser&Theurer, Matisa, Robel, Geismar and Kalugaputmash.
     In 2000 have been concluded privatisation sale contract of the enterprise. It transform into an shareholders society (AD) with participation of Bulgarian and German capitals with the name “RVP Koehne” AD.
     Due to the gained experience in the heavy railway machines repairs the company successfully starts the freight wagons repair activity in 2003.
     Since December 2007 “RVP Koehne” AD is in the structure of “Railway infrastructure holding” AD.
The administrative management and main production capacities of the company are situated in the north industrial area of Sofia on 38 000 m2 space. The company have own industrial railway connected with “Iliantzi” railway station and with all railway network of the country.
